COME FOLLOW MO

hab heute das erste Bild aufgehängt, dass ich je ausgedruck habe! Ich hatte es damals auf USB-Stick dabei, als ich meinen ersten Drucker kaufen ging, und der Verkäufer nahm ein DIN-A-4 Blatt glänzendes Fotopapier und zack: wunderbar!

Paint natürlich. Damals war Papier noch nicht so aggro, der Druck ist sicher noch gut - obwohl nicht eingeglast - aber ich hab ihn längst nicht mehr.

Inzwischen ist das Bild noch besser, weil nämlich damals noch keine Schuppen auf dem Drachen waren. An denen habe ich all die Jahre getupft, immer mal zwischendurch Zeit damit verbracht meinen Zeigefinger zu ruinieren, indem ich Klick für Mausklick jede Schuppe einzeln angebracht hab - damit sie nicht zu regelmäßig werden. Dann brachen die Zeiten des Colladraw an, und aus ner lila Fläche wurde Himmel - aha! Darauf hatte es noch gewartet. Jetzt ist es fertig, 14 Jahre später! Und hängt im erste Sahne rum, als ob nix wär!

back to basics, and then some ... I put up the picture that was actually the first I ever had printed. I took it with me on USB-stic when I went to buy my first printer, and the clerk grabbed a DIN-A-4 glossy photo-paper and wooosh! Wonderful!

Paint of course. Bakc then, paper wasn'T as aggressive, and I bet the print is still holding up fine, even though it's not behind glass - but I don't have it anymore.

By now the picture os still better, because back then there were no scales on the dragonkite (it's the same word for both in German, so that's how i think about it). It took me years to put all the scales on, always in between other tasks, I'd spend some time ruining my index-finger by mouse-clicking on one scale at a time, so as not to have them too regular. Then colladraw times arose and a velvet background became the sky ... that's what the painting had been waiting for, and now it is finished ... 14 years later! And hangs out in "erste Sahne OTIUM" as if there wasn't anything to it!
